BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Hon. Justice Rugadya Atwoki 

Justice Albert Rugadya Atwooki, is the chairperson of the Citizenship and Immigration Board of Uganda, a body charged with registering and issuing of the national identity cards, passports and other travel documents and granting and cancelling citizenship. 

He was a member of the Uganda Constitution Review Commission. He is formerly the Resident Judge Masindi High Court. 

He is the Head of the legal team of the Uganda Constitutional Commission. He is a memeber of Common Wealth Magistrates and Judges Association. 

Hon. Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire 

He has a Masters of Laws Degree (LL.M) (International Law with a bias in International Economic Law) from University of London. 

From 1999 to 2003, he was the acting general manager and CEO at Pan World Insurance Company (PWICO). He was appointed as a judge in the Commercial Division of the High Court of Uganda in 2003, a position he still occupies. 

Justice Kiryabwire was appointed Vice President of the East African Court by the East African Community Heads of State Summit. He is a seasoned environmentalist and tree planter. 

Gen. Ivan Koreta

He is a General in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and a representative for the armed forces in the Parliament of Uganda. 

He attended a Battalion Administrative Officer Course in Makambaku Administration Officers Col-lege, Tanzania, undertook a Combined Arms Brigade Officer Course in USSR, graduated with 

Private Pilots Licence from Royal Air Force Scotland. 

Gen. Ivan Koreta has a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from University of Ibadan and is a Fellow of National Defence University, China and National War College, Abuja Nigeria.

Elizabeth Lwanga

She was: Deputy Regional Director for Africa at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Representative in Sierra Leone, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Kenya and Zimbabwe; Manager of the UNDP Gender in Development Programme in New York; Regional Programme Director for UN Women for East and Horn of Africa; Africa Director for OXFAM America; Director for Communications at the All Africa Conference of Churches.

Elizabeth has over 30 years experience in development work, with a focus on policy and programme development and management.

Dr Sarah Akello

Holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Ph.D. in Agricultural & Rural Innovations.

She is a certified Environment Administrator with experience in research and supervision. Projects undertaken include: National Forestry Authority, the EU funded Forest Resources Management and Conservation Project, the Swedish funded VI Agroforestry Project, etc.

Vinay Dawda 

Vinay Dawda is the Chief Executive Officer of Charms Uganda Ltd., distributors of Colgate Palmolive, Mondelez, SCJ Johnson, Kimberly Clarke, Henkel, Sunmark and Unilever. 

He is a former managing director of Britania Allied Industries from 1991 – 2004. He is a Board mem-ber of Uganda Manufacturers Association and Vice Chair of Presidential Investors Round Table. 

Dawda is passionate about environment conservation and promotes technology commercialization for optimal production, distribution and consumption. 

David Lukwago

David Lukwago is a Founder/CEO of Prosper Mama Africa and Inputi, a US based nonprofit organization that uproots Ugandans out of the chronical exptreme poverty.

He has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has coordinated social and public health communication projects in Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia.

David was a contractor with the UN’s World Food project, to manage medium sized agribusiness enterprises and smallholder farmers to produce enough quantities and quality for World Food Program (WFP) relief needs. David is into forestry business.

Maurice Amogola

Maurice is a chartered insurer of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of the United Kingdom (CII), he is also a chartered insurer of the Insurance Training College (ITC) of Uganda.

Bryan Toshi Bwana 

He is a proficient creative and art director with expertise in all aspects of marketing, advertising, public relations, event planning, and management. He has excellent multiple – project management skills with strong attention to detail, problem solving and follow through capabilities. 

He has created, produced and executed the golden jubilee celebrations of Uganda, the Civil Aviation, the National Procurement Summit, Africa Innovation Awards, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), rebranding and election campaign 2015 and 2020, National Resistance Movement (NRM) election campaign 2011, etc. 

Toshi is championing “sustainable, market-led natural resources’ conservation and tourism promotion” within Uganda and East Africa.
